LNW has incorporated health and safety activities and programmes for the effective 

management of identified hazards from normal operations and control of risk to foster Occupational Health and Safety protection and wellbeing of employees, and compliance 

with Occupational Health and Safety Act. LNW had a transit from the NOSA Management system to implement an OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Standard), which is an internationally recognised standard to foster Occupational Health and Safety at all schemes operated by Lepelle Northern Water 

System’s Integration 

It is envisaged by LNW to integrate the OHSAS 18001 (which in the process of being 

transformed into ISO 45001 in 2018) Occupational Health and Safety Management 

system, ISO 14001 Environment Management system and ISO 55001 Asset Management system
