REGIONAL MANAGER: MOPANI REGION

LOCATION: TZANEEN REGIONAL OFFICE

MINIMUM SALARY:  R1,056,863.06 per annum on a D-Upper Paterson Broadband (All-inclusive)

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Water Care/Water and Sanitation coupled with a minimum of 8 years’ experience related to the water industry, of which 5 years’ experience must be at middle management level.
  • A valid driver’s license is a prerequisite. Postgraduate qualifications and registration with professional body will be an added advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting to the General Manager: Operations & Maintenance, the incumbent will be responsible for:
  • Provide an effective and efficient management of infrastructure that will contribute to the delivery on water supply requirements
  • Ensure the planning, upgrading and maintenance of the infrastructure
  • Ensure that the quality of water complies with the required standards and regulations
  • Compile and manage the annual and CAPEX budgets in line with regional water supply mandate
  • Identify operational risks, develops a risk profile for own area of responsibility and implementation of approved action plan’s for mitigation
  • Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development
  • Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements.

PAYROLL OFFICER

LOCATION: HEAD OFFICE

MINIMUM SALARY: R304 880.16 per annum on a C-Lower Paterson Broadband plus medical aid, housing subsidy/allowance and pension/provident funds benefits

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management or Accounting with at least 2 years working experience in payroll.
  • A valid driver’s license is a prerequisite and registration with the relevant professional body is advantageous.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

  • Must be computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint etc.)
  • Time management
  • Strong business acumen and ethics
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Good presentation skills
  • Knowledge of SAP system
  • Report writing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and beyond normal working hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement payroll processes and procedures
  • Ensure accurate and timeous capturing of payroll information and employee allowances
  • Collect, calculate and enter data in order to maintain and update payroll information
  • Prepare for payroll files, statutory payments, and third-party payments for each pay run
  • Calculation of employee-related provisions  (bonus and leave)
  • Ensure compliance with payroll policies and legislations
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations
  •  Ensure all external reports are submitted timeously
  • Effectively provide valuable contribution to assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Prepare and post payroll interface journal between the payroll system and ERP system
  • Ensure that salary advice and IRP5s are issued accurately and timeously
  • Ensure safe keeping of employee records
  • Interact with the HR Unit to ensure correct employee data
  • Supervise and mentor subordinates
  • Uphold LNW’s code of ethics and confidentiality when performing payroll functions
  • Ensure compliance with all LNW’s policies, procedures and code of ethics.
